There’s a story in everything. Whether you realize or not, you and your company are filled with stories. Another thing that’s true about stories is the fact that everyone likes stories. So, by writing down your own story, you will be able to attract customers to you company. This is called storytelling: you take your branding one step further. But, how do you do this?
Start with yourself
If you want to tell your story, it’s important to look at the things that are already there. Your company probably already has a lot of aspects in which it shows its identity. Whether we’re talking about branding, corporate identity, the way you and your coworkers talk to each other or something else – there are tons of different stories that fit into the big story of your company.
If you want to make a good start, it’s good to start with these things. A lot of times, there are tons of stories you don’t even know about. You get these by starting the conversation between your coworkers. You can ask them to fill in a form, but if you want the more personal stories (that often do a lot better), doing face-to-face interviews works a lot better. You’ll soon notice that a lot of stories have a common line, which you can use in your story.
Write your strategy
Now that you have the first aspects of your story, it’s time to turn this into a strategy. This can be done in various ways, but it’s a good thing to first think about your central philosophy: the common line in your interviews. When you embrace what people are already experiencing with you, it shows that you know yourself and also what you can bring to others. Now that you know this, your strategy has almost written itself. You now only have to think about the channels you want to use to fulfill this strategy. Once you’ve taken care of this, your story is written and taken to the next level.
Work safely!
A branding style is an important part of your story. We’re absolutely not here to tell you not to make one, but we are here to inform you about your safety surrounding this topic. When you’ve created your brand, we recommend investing in
brand protection software. This makes sure that no one is able to run with your ideas, which makes your story more unique and easier to feel connected to, as it’s something no one has ever seen before.
