In our earlier article, entitled ‘The Provocative Prospects of Combining Enterprise Intelligence and Social Media’, we talked in generalities about the alternatives of mixing BI with Social Media to better leverage the potential of social media networks and web marketing and to accurately measure the success of those packages and plan for the future. Enterprise analytics consists of knowledge mining , predictive analytics , applied analytics and statistics, and is delivered as an utility appropriate for a enterprise consumer. As soon as the business goal of the analysis is determined, an evaluation methodology is selected and information is acquired to assist the analysis.

This half will involve learning about modelling techniques to represent the real world in a structured and logical method; easy methods to use primary and advanced spreadsheet services to prepare, visualise, query and summarise data; how one can use spreadsheets to analyse and solve managerial issues in a wide range of organisations (e.g. scheduling, forecasting, inventory, optimisation, monetary analysis, and challenge management issues).

To me the difference between Enterprise Intelligence is wanting within the rearview mirror and using historical knowledge from one minute ago to many years ago. All students registered for a taught Master’s programme are eligible to use for a spot on our World Skills Award Programme.
